Stone Mountain Wellness Center & Training Institute is dedicated to assisting clients in improving the over-all quality of their lives by teaching skills to overcome suffering, live with purpose, and increase feelings of well-being and happiness.
 
We offer assistance with overcoming issues such as trauma, grief, anxiety, stress, burn-out, self-sabotaging, and addictive behaviors. Education and training focuses on recent research on resolving trauma and anxiety and utilizing the principles of positive psychology to build a life of purpose and joy.
 

Helen Thueson-Stone has over 25 years of experience in crisis intervention, trauma recovery, professional training, and speaking. She has experience in rape crisis counseling, crisis response, and critical incident debriefing. She was the founding director of a law-enforcement based victim services unit where she provided on-scene crisis response, death notifications, on-going victim assistance, and trained and supervised a large volunteer crisis response team. She has worked as a professional trainer developing curriculum and running seminars for counselors, crisis responders, clergy, law-enforcement, attorneys, and judges on topics of victim issues and recovery interventions. She has served in adjunct faculty positions at universities in Texas, Kansas, and Idaho.
